Impact ’86 Alums Receive Post-season College Awards

Five members of the Impact ’86 boy’s team (Tennessee Division I State Champions in 2000 & 2002-2004) have received post-season honors for their performances during their respective 2006 college soccer seasons.

Jared Britcher, a junior forward at the University of Memphis, was named to ESPN - The Magazine’s Academic All-District IV Team and was further honored by being named to both the NSCAA/adidas® College Men’s Scholar All-South Region Team and the first ever Conference USA All-Academic Team.

Evan Giordano, a junior midfielder at Maryville College, was named to the NSCAA/adidas® NCAA Division III All-South Region Team, the NSCAA/adidas® College Men’s Scholar All-South Region Team and the inaugural D3Kicks.com NCAA Division III All-South Region Team. He was also named for the second time to both the Great South Athletic Conference’s All-Conference Team and the Great South Athletic Conference’s Academic All-Conference Team.

Michael Houbre, a junior defender at King College, was named to the Daktronics-NAIA All-American Academics Team and was also named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference’s Academic All-Conference Team for the second year in a row.

Adam Montgomery, a junior midfielder at the University of Memphis, was named to the NSCAA/adidas® College Men’s Scholar All-South Region Team.

Igor Slisko, a sophomore (redshirt) midfielder at King College, was named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference’s All-Conference Team.
