Tim Brooks to coach Nike Impact USA goalkeepers

This spring Tim Brooks -- goalkeeper coach for the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky -- will also train keepersforthe Nike Impact United Soccer Association (USA).

Luc Dessieux, the Impact's regular keeper coach, is taking time off from coaching to spend time with his wife and new baby.

Brooks's keeper training sessions will start Thursday, February 1, at the Impact fields in Karns on the following schedule:

u8-u10 -- 5:30-6:30
u11-u13 -- 6:30-7:30
u14 and up -- 7:30 - 8:30

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Brooks is a 2003 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands, where he earned his bachelors degree in Health Movement and Leisure studies.

In the three years that Brooks has been the assistant/keeper coach for the UC men, the Patriots have a 34-11-3 record.

Brooks has received many honors throughout his career as a goalkeeper. Before attending UC, he was the keeper for the 1996 Under-17 U.S. National team and selected to attend the ADIDAS 1997 ESP All-American camp.

While playing for the Patriots, Brooks was named to the NAIA 2nd All-America team. In 2002, Brooks was invited to the Major League Soccer Pro-Soccer Combine, where players try out and are selected for professional soccer teams.

Brooks and his wife, Misty, have one daughter, Faith, who is 4 months old.
