Here are excerpts from several W-League game accounts:
In a 2-0 Toronto Lynx victory over the Rochester Rhinos,
"midfielder Brittany Moore opened the scoring in the 28th minute when
she placed her left-footed strike just inside the top corner, just past
a diving Joy McKenzie in the Rochester net. Adrienne Ruhe Lischke
earned the assist on Moore's third goal of the year.
In a 2-0 victory over the Vermont Voltage,
"Moore added assists on both goals, giving her 4 on the season and
establishing the rookie as one of the elite playmakers in the entire
W-League."
In a 6-0 rout of the Hamilton (Ont.)Avalanche, "As was the case in Rochester in a 4-0 win over the Rhinos, the Lady Lynx came out flying to start the match.
"Daniela Schwarz, making her Lady Lynx debut, opened the
scoring in the 26th minute when she chested a Brittany Moore cross past
a helpless Nicole Mercer in the Hamilton goal.
"The Lady Lynx extended their lead three minutes later when
Moore's powerful strike caromed off the cross bar to a wide open
Stefania Morra who drove the ball home for her second goal of the young
season.
"Moore finally notched a goal of her own in the 43rd when she
tucked a low cross from Tina Romagnuolo just inside the left post for a
three-nil Lady Lynx lead.
"Morra rounded out the first half scoring for the Lady Lynx
in injury time to end the first half when she headed home a Moore
corner kick for her second goal of the match. The assist was Moore's
third on the afternoon, a new team record."
