Coffman Goal Clinches AAC Tournament Title
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - With a lot to prove the Lady Tornado battle to win the AAC Championship with a 2-0 score over Covenant College. With both teams some what cancelling each other out in the early stages of the game; junior Lisa Forgione latched onto a thru ball from Sophomore Pua Coffman to open the scoring in the first half of play. After the break, both teams stepped up the pressure, Covenant pushing for an equalizing goal and King pushing for a second. The second would soon come from Sophomore Emma Wells who seemed to have cleared the ball under pressure from the halfway line and somehow eluded the Covenant goalkeeper and ended up in the Covenant net to make the game 2-0. Both teams played hard throughout the game but the two goals either side of the half where enough to give the Lady Tornado the title.

Coach Swan commented after the game, "Again we have stepped onto the field and shown what we are capable of doing. Everyone tonight has shown why we have been so successful this season. From Karmin all the way through, we have been first class this weekend and deserve this. I'm so proud of this squad and hope to repeat this next weekend in the Region XII tournament."
