Impact U.S.A. players at Men's National Team Game Thirty-four (34) Nike Impact USA players (boys and girls) will be chaperones and ball boys at the Men's National team game vs. Morocco on May 23rd in Nashville, TN. Twenty-two (22) players ages 8-9 will be "escorts" to both teams' starting lineup. They will walk hand in hand with the teams' starting lineups onto the field for the singing of the national anthem. Another 12 older boys will be ball boys for the game.
Says Laban DeFriese of Nike Impact USA - central, "what an exciting opportunity for the players of Nike Impact USA to get to meet and walk out onto the field hand in hand with the Men's national team starting lineup. This close access to the Men's and/or Women's National team is a typical example of the opportunities our new partnership with Nike brings us. I look forward to seeing our players participate in this Men's National soccer team event. . ."
. . . NIke Impact USA received another call from Nike and US Soccer to send 25 more players to the national team game to hold up an over sized replica of the National team's jersey for the opening ceremonies. This make a total of 59
Impact players from across the state participating in this event. "The Impact's involvement with the National team is a great opportunity for Impact players to see the highest level of soccer up close and personal." -Jon Schneider (Executive Director)
