Coffman makes college choice
Pua Coffman, 88 Lady Impact player & former Bearden Lady SoccerDawg standout defender, has an interesting connection to King College in Bristol, her college of choice after a brief signing ceremony in the BHS "Pit" Wednesday, March 1. "The college was founded by my great-, great-, great-, great-grandfather," the two-time All-Region 2-AAA and All-District 4-AAA honoree said. "So, it's been in our family for a long, long time." King head coach James Macklin said Coffman is "very versatile, she can play many positions, she's strong with the ball. I think she's one of the best come out of Tennessee." BHS head coach Eric Turner said Coffman has "great work ethic, great attitude, ... Her persistence, her tenacity is what's going to make her successful." Coffman, 18, is seated alongside parents Lee and Marty Coffman. Standing, left to right, are coaches Turner and Macklin.
